Hello from Hong Kong!
After today, I’ve officially announced it to myself:
the typhoon season is here.
It has been raining since the morning here.
The rain started early this morning. It’s been falling steadily all day, with wind from time to time—reminding everyone to slow down and pause.
If you’ve never experienced it, typhoon season in Hong Kong is somewhere between drama and a good TV series.
From June to around September, the weather here shifts quickly.
The sky turns grey, winds get stronger, and rain starts to fall sideways.
The city announces typhoon signals—T1, T3, T8—to let everyone know how strong the storm is and whether to stay in.
But today wasn’t just about the skies.
It was about presence. I got to be with myself.
There’s a kind of HK drama in how this city moves through storms.
And I guess, I try to meet my days the same way.
» I write ten pages before having my morning flat. Other days, nothing comes. (and that’s okay too). And I workout to release all possible tension there could have been through out the day.
Today’s mode was a hike to Peak. Great!
As each storm in life, each feeling and a mood doesn’t last forever.
Neither did my hike — I needed to shift my mood to kitchen.
Our plan for today was to eat some healthy burgers, to elevate this simple meal I picked up few fresh brioche buns on my way home from Feather & Bone (a little corner shop on Mosque Junction).
Feather & Bone —is one of my favorite stops to elevate kitchen table. *Goat cheese, Thursday night salmon, honey mustard dressing, and their great selection of wines.
A tip to stop by for all who love little organic food and kitchen stores.
